What problems are renewable technology trying to solve
Renewable energy comes from a natural source which can be replaced or restored. In other words, Renewable Energy is the generation of energy from earth’s natural resources such as sun, wind, water which are infinite. These renewable energies are usually inexhaustible and also can be restored on the human timeframe.
Fossil fuel is associated with some problems which can cause harm to the world and mankind, these problems can be solved if the alternative (renewable energy)take over the wheel. some of the fossil fuel problems are discussed below
- FOSSIL FUEL ARE DANGEROUS TO THE ENVIRONMENT
Over-consumption of fossil fuel can lead to serious environmental issues as it has become the major source of energy in the world. Environmental pollution is one of the major disadvantages of fossil fuels, it takes a toll on the environment as it releases carbon dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide and another toxic element.
over the years, these gaseous emissions have impacted our environment adversely and have contributed greatly to the effect of global warming. Changing weather patterns, droughts, and floods are a few manifestations of the adverse effect of global warming.
- FOSSIL FUEL ARE LIMITED
Fossil fuels are a finite source of energy which are projected to deplete in the nearer future, as a matter of fact, they are projected to run out in the next 50 years.
- Price fluctuations
Fossil fuels price is not stable. They are highly prone to price fluctuations and market manipulation, this has affected developing countries that heavily rely on importation of this fossil fuels. Fossil fuel has been projected to increase in price over time while renewable energy price will decrease to a minimal level for the household.
- Effect on Human Health
Fossil fuel releases particulates, sulfur dioxide gas, carbon dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide and other compounds that can be harmful to human health as a result of fossil fuel combustion. This can cause serious health complications such as anaemia, chronic asthma, low lung functioning, chronic bronchitis, Pneumonia, cardiovascular diseases, Upper Respiratory and Eye Irritation, Cancer and heart attack.
On the other hand, the use of renewable energy technology will not only solve this problem, but it will also be of so many benefits to the world. Renewable energies have been in existences for ages before fossil fuel became rampant. Unfortunately, it is extremely destructible and also won’t last forever these made government around the world look for other alternatives that will solve the problems of fossil fuel. An adage says that necessity is the mother of invention, Below are some of the benefits of renewable energy;
- GLOBAL WARMING:
Renewable Energy Technology are more eco-friendlier compare fossil fuel as it cannot cause Global Warming.
- GREAT ECONOMY
Renewable energy has created more jobs in contrast to when fossil fuel dominated the world, and also many people were able to invest in this business.
- FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT:
Renewable energies solve the problem of the toxic environment. Renewable Energy tends to change the environment to a greener one as it supplies clean energy.
- FEAR OF RUNNING OUT OF FUEL:
They say necessities is the mother of invention, Renewable energy is from a replenishable source, they are limitless and free in contrast to the fossil fuel which has been projected to finish anytime soon.
- GOOD HEALTH
Renewable Energy support a non-toxic environment, an environment free from carbon dioxide and any other harmful products that can cause environmental degradation which, in turn, improve our health condition.
- RELIABLE, RESILIENCE AND AFFORDABLE.
Renewable Energy is reliable, It is also working towards affordable electricity across the world. No one can say precisely when fossil fuel will dry up from its source, that shows how unreliable it is.
The development of renewable energies will save the world from an unreliable source of energy, toxic environment and global warming.
