Some Key features of the Facebook Dating App:

Remember this information won’t be shared with potential matches.

You will only be suggested to others who have similar interests into Facebook Dating, and people will also be suggested to you based on your preferences, interests and some other things you do on the app.

You can see friends of friends and people that are not in your friend circle.

The Facebook Dating app won’t match you with your Facebook friends unless you both add each other to your Secret Crush lists.


The Secret Crush list option allows you to match with people you already know on your Facebook and Instagram.

You can select up to nine of your Facebook friends or Instagram followers and add them to your Secret Crush list.
In other to do so you must connect your Instagram account to the Facebook Dating App.

This people then gets a notification telling them someone has a crush on them.

If your crush then adds you to their Secret Crush list then it’s a match.

But if your crush isn’t on Facebook Dating App or they don’t have a Secret Crush list, or didn’t put you on their list, they won’t know get a notification.


If you find interest in someone, no swiping is involved, all you need to do is just comment directly on their Facebook Dating profile or click on the Like button to let them know you are Interested.

All your activities will are classified on the Facebook Dating and won’t be shared to Facebook.
