Amazon has just added Mozilla Firefox and Silk Browsers on their fire TV. The service is available to over a 100 countries.

With this new update, Amazon Fire TV users can now access the world wide web and use features that these browsers would normally have on the desktop.

According to the Senior Vice President of Firefox (Mark Mayo),

“Bringing Firefox to Fire TV is an exciting new way to reach out to users and serve up more of the full web to everyone.”.

What more can I do with these Browsers?

With full web browser support on the Amazon Fire TV, you can access all the features of the browser as you would do on the desktop platform.

Streaming videos would be much easy as the browser is in full support. This will come in handy if you want to watch movies online. Not to forget, Youtube videos is not an exception. You can have access to all the videos library from the comfort of your couch.

Will I be able to access this browser’s on my Fire TV from my Country?

Yes, you can get the browsers, if you have access to fire TV in your country. According to the vice president of Amazon, they are rolling out the updates across all fire TV devices in countries where they are. If perhaps, you can’t access the Firefox and Silk browsers just yet, I suggest you wait for some time, since the updates are just being rolled out.

You can download the browsers from the Amazon platform with a desktop web browser. You can also download the software from the app store on the stick.
