Facebook Page
Facebook page is a non-personal profile page which includes a profile for a company, a brand, an organization, or even a website platform. You can also have Facebook pages for public figures like politicians and celebrities.
Facebook Page differs from a typical Facebook profile in the sense that many users can operate them, any users on Facebook can like or follow them, and their posts will be monetized and also promoted.
Facebook Group
The Facebook group operates as a room for discussion and sharing information with users and friends who share an interest, location, or other common traits. For instance, there are various groups of people that work in the design industry, groups for people in the same location, and groups for people interested in technology.

How to Create a Facebook Group
1. Search Add Group.
From your “ home page “ on Facebook go to the Explore Groups section on the left side menu and tap on, “Groups.”
2. Select Create Group.
You will be redirected to a page with options on how to create a group. The options include;
- Pending Invites
- Favorites
- Your Groups
- Groups You Manage
To create a group, click “Create Group” in the upper right-hand corner.
Type the name you want to assign to the group and fill any other options. In the notifications bell in the right-hand corner, click on the drop-down and choose, “Create Group.” Immediately you select the option, a lightbox will open where you can add your Facebook group details.
3. Name Your Group
The first thing you will have to do is give your group a name or title. The name can be whatever you want and you may also change it later. But try to make the name of the group memorable and searchable so that people can find and search for it.
4. Add Members
Facebook does something odd here and out of order. It requires you to add at least a friend to the group before you can be able to create it.
So if you want to create your group, you will need to add at least 1 friend to the group.
5. Choose Privacy Setting
Now, you will need to choose what privacy setting you want your group to have.
This is probably the most important choice you’ll make while creating your group — as there are some limits.
If you have fewer than 5000 members, you’ll be able to change the settings as you see fit.
But as soon as your groups grow to over 5000 members, you can only change an Open group to Closed or Secret — and a Closed group to Secret.
You cannot change the privacy after this again.
There may be confusion regarding what privacy setting a group ought to have — Open, Closed or Secret.

Facebook can offer you the choice to feature your artistic graphic for your header.
This is utterly up to you and will be aligned together with the theme of your group.
Keep in mind: the size for images in the head section of your facebook page or facebook group is usually “1640 x 856 pixels”.
8. Complete “About” Section
The about section gives prospective members what information or service your group is offering or what is about. It can also contain any “rules” you will have regarding the group.
9. Edit Group Settings
Next, you will need to edit the group settings. You do this by clicking on the “More” tab and so clicking “Edit Group Settings”:
Once on the edit page, you can edit your page or group settings. You can also change settings that you’ve set out earlier. Some of the things you can change in your facebook group or page include:
- Group Name
- Group Type
- Description
- Tags
- Locations
- Linked Pages
- Privacy Settings
- Change your Description
- Change Posting Permissions – Here you’ll be able to decide if solely admins will post or if members can still post to the group.
- Post Approval
Once you are done and pleased with the settings, click “Save”. Your Group or Page is ready to Go!
At this stage, you have successfully created a Facebook group! Congrats!
