List of Best Dating Sites

Our Time

Our Time is a paid dating site specifically for singles over 50 looking for a long term or rather a serious relationship. While it is free to set up a profile and browse, you must however subscribe to contact other members.

This dating site uses a matchmaking algorithm to generate matches based on your personality profile. However, you can choose your own matches, plus, it also allows searches for same-sex relationships. This is the first on my list of best-paid dating sites.

eHarmony

eHarmony unlike Our Time uses a more advanced system to match people based on a large number of questions you answer when you sign up. eHarmony is exclusively for users seeking long-term relationships, and subscribers must be single, widowed, or divorced. Individuals who are separated are not allowed to set up a profile.

While the dating site allows only for opposite-sex matching. The only downside is that if there are no matches for you, there isn’t much else you can do on the site. Well, I guess we can move on to other paid dating sites.

Zoosk

Zoosk dating site began as just a Facebook application but is now an independent site with more than 50 million members. This paid dating site is geared toward a younger demographic and requires you to upload a photo, it can integrate information from your other social networking accounts to create your profile.

Free members can browse, wink, and respond to emails they receive, purchase “coins” to spend on additional features such as boosting your profile in search rankings or sending virtual gifts. But, as a free member, you cannot initiate emails. Becoming a paid member, Upgrades you to premium status which allows you to chat and send emails to other members.

Onto the last on my list.

Match.com

Match.com is another paid dating site that uses keywords in your profile to match you with others who share like interests. Keywords can include topics such as “wine tasting,” “travel”. Free members can browse and “wink” at other members but only subscribed members can contact other members via instant messaging or email.

One distinguishing feature of Match.com is that users can browse for same-sex relationships; however, there is no way to know what type of relationship someone is looking for, whether casual or serious unless they specifically state it in their profile. Meanwhile, the cost to join Match.com depends on your location. You must register and click “subscribe” to see the prices.

Final Thought

There are things to always remember regardless of which dating site you choose to use.

When sharing personal information about yourself and your family members, you should be very cautious.

You should not expect everything you read in a profile to be true, and neither should you assume the picture is current.

When you decide to me, you should always meet in a public place.

Most importantly, nothing beats a good picture.
